Lake District Cruises
The Lake District presents many opportunities for water sports with sailing, kayaking and boat hire, along with cruises on all the large lakes. Sometimes some of the best views can be from the middle of a lake looking up at the mountains and scenery. Sit back and relax as you head your way around Derwent Water. When you feel like stopping just simply hop off and head to the Leathes Head for an afternoon drink.
Mountain Biking In Lake District
For the more energetic there are a variety of adrenalin-fuelled activities. There are also plenty of Mountain Biking tracks to be enjoyed along with the Whinlatter Biking track which is home to the longest purpose-built mountain bike trails in the Lake District.
Lake District Golf Courses
There are even eight golf courses in the Lake District and all are within 30 miles of Keswick. Some of the courses boast some of the best scenery to be found in the country.
