Car parking

The hotel offers plenty of onsite car parking which is well lit, free, safe and off the main road.

Smoking

The hotel interior is strictly non-smoking to comply with the English Law and does incur an additional cleaning charge of £150 if done so. We do however have a spacious garden and grounds where our valued smoking guests can relax, eat and enjoy a drink. We take the non-smoking law seriously and don’t tolerate any smoking within the Hotel Building.

Ground floor rooms are available for the less sprightly and we have some equipment for the disabled including wheelchair access from the car park into the hotel. All the ground floor of the Hotel is accessible by wheelchair.

We cater for just about any special diet, but advance notice is required. Vegetarian options are available at all times in our lounges and restaurant.

Packed and picnic meals

Packed lunch menus are available – but they must be ordered by 7pm the previous evening.

What is and is not included in price

All quoted prices are inclusive of VAT at the ruling rate. There is no service charge added to your bill, gratuities are at the customers’ discretion.

Check in and out

Earliest check in is 15.00, or we will be happy to help you have an earlier check in by prior arrangement. Latest check out is 11.00 or later by prior arrangement.

Useful transport links

The Hotel is very easily accessible by using public transport from Penrith. From here you can get trains North or South. From Keswick there is a bus operated by Stage Coach which runs every hour and will drop you at the front entrance to the Hotel.
