The Leathes Head Welcomes You To Keswick, Cumbria & England's Beautiful Lake District
Welcome to our website where you will discover the charming Leathes Head Hotel, your hidden retreat in the heart of beautiful Borrowdale.
The Leathes Head is a magnificent eleven bedroom Edwardian Country House Hotel, situated in the unspoilt Borrowdale Valley. The hotel is set amongst three acres of private grounds and is surrounded by stunning scenery, meandering rivers and some of the most spectacular fells in North West England.
With superb views across the valley and easy access to Keswick, this is the perfect place for a relaxing break. The entire Borrowdale valley is ringed by glorious fells known and loved by seasoned walkers. Lake cruises, water sports, mountain biking trails and plenty of other Lake District activities are all within easy reach of the hotel.
We are proud holders of an AA Rosette for food, and our guests can enjoy dishes prepared using locally sourced ingredients; sit in the traditional bar to enjoy a drink or watch the wildlife from the comfort of the conservatory windows before retiring to one of the individually furnished bedrooms, with views of the surrounding countryside and hotel gardens.
Looking forward to 2014
Many thanks to all who have come to stay with us throughout 2013, we have had a blast welcoming back old friends and meeting new faces. We will now be closed for the winter period and plan on extensive work in our gardens, and completing room renovations in rooms 8 and 9. Although we will be away, we will still be updating you all with photographs of our progress on our Facebook page so keep an eye out on the developments.
Remember, you can always check up to date availability, prices and reserve a room through our booking engine; you can even book a room through Facebook! Periodically we will be checking in on emails and voice messages but you are welcome to leave a message and we will respond when we can.
We wish you all a Happy Christmas and a terrific New Year and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2014.
